Stowe Mountain Club
Stowe, VT
About This Course
The mountain terrain here forces creative shot-making on nearly every hole, with elevation changes that can add or subtract two clubs from your approach shots depending on whether you're hitting uphill to greens carved into hillsides or launching drives into valleys below. Vermont's dramatic topography creates natural doglegs around ridges and requires precise club selection on the numerous blind shots, particularly the downhill par-3s that play much shorter than the yardage suggests. This high-altitude layout rewards course management over pure distance, as the thin air carries balls farther while the unforgiving mountain slopes punish wayward shots with severe lies.
