The San Juan Mountains provide a stunning amphitheater for this high-altitude track that plays at 7,000 feet, where the thin air adds 10-15 yards to every shot. Designer Jim Engh carved routing through rolling meadowland and dramatic elevation changes, creating forced carries over native grasses and approach shots to greens perched on natural plateaus. The back nine climbs through aspen groves before delivering a memorable downhill par-3 17th that plays straight toward the towering peaks of the Uncompahgre National Forest.
